Strip District

Strip District Visit
The Red Area--Strip District
Cr. Google Map
Strip District was the area we explored and had fun in. Bus 54C-Inbound goes directly to this area if you would like to spend 30 minutes on the bus and get off after 33 stops. We got off at Liberty Ave. at 25th St, but we did not see any restaurants or stores. After walking a little, we arrived the "actual" Strip District.

There were different murals on the walls, and we started seeing restaurants and stores. Strip District has a diverse population, and there are restaurants for food all over the world: Middle Eastern, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Caribbean, Polish and so on, and the stores are selling different things: books, fruits, candies, grocery, dried flowers... While we walked through the first restaurant (people were eating outside in Strip District), we noticed everyone was having a type of drink with celery in it. We were so confused and thought it was something special in that restaurant, but we did not ask since none of us could drink obviously. We kept walking and seeing more and more people having the same drink in different restaurants. After we reached the other end of the strip district, we walked back, and we figured out the drink was bloody mary because there was a board with "bloody mary" and a drawing on it.

There was a farm market on the sideway of the road, and all the fruits and vegetables were really cheap--a container of strawberries was 1 dollar compare to 6 dollars in Market To Go. We bought strawberries and some other fruits with us. There were also numbers of fun stores selling unique things, but we did not get time to go into each of them. We spent a great time together chatting and walking around this nice neighborhood, and we planned to go back again together for another visit.
